MANIFESTATION FOR THE MEMORY OF WHARFS
Participatory performance | Wet plate collodion photography | 2011-2012
A series of participatory performances brings citizens together on their community’s wharves, with their backs to the sea. These events, captured through old photographic techniques, both reclaim the present of these fragile places and document their abandonment, at a time when the Canadian government is moving to scale back much of its oceanographic research—and, with it, the future of the sea.
