A BELL AROUND THE NECKS OF WHALES

This sound spatialization was designed to be integrated into the façade of the Sporobole building, a digital art hub located in an alleyway in downtown Sherbrooke. It uses a linear array of 16 speakers to broadcast a 16-track composition, transforming the building's façade into a giant carillon. This unique carillon imagines what it would sound like if whales were equipped with bells around their necks to track their movements. *Warning: Without the original 16-speaker system, the following mono track does not convey the environmental spatialization effect at the heart of this in situ experience.
